Fourth of July

I love this holiday! It's summer at it's best- family, friends, food, water, fireworks, music, and celebrating this great country. The kids are still warming up to all the holiday has to offer. They aren't quite ready for fireworks and have slept through them every year- despite being across the street. We usually take in a small town parade, have fun with our friends, watch the fireworks on TV, swim, and of course eat.

This year we had a great weekend with family and friends. It's nice when Daddy has some time off and can just relax- okay, actually the kids just love being able to play with him all the time.

......a little baseball dreamin'...............and of course playing! And he had some time to learn a new sport- croquet......
The perfect way to end our holiday weekend- a picnic with our class from church. It was quite a crowd. We know have 103 kids under five any many of them were in attendance (here are just a handful)........
We were all set for a fun-filled evening, when unfortunately the (much needed) rain decided to join us. We ALL huddled into the garage to eat. After about 10 minutes, the kids decided to seize the day and play in the warm summer rain anyway. It was still lots of fun. We are so thankful for such great families to raise our kids with- we love you guys!
Wet, tired, and very happy kids :)

Happy Birthday America!!!
