Happy New Year!

Happy 2011! We had a a great New Year's with the family in PA.

Apparently face-painting is now a part of our New Year's Eve.  Julia received a face painting set for Christmas.  I really love it.  They have both been into face painting this past year.  So many times we have had to say no because of the price.  At most fairs it is $10 or more.  We decided to give the home version a try and it is so easy to use, extremely gentle on the skin, doesn't rub off everywhere, and comes off simply.
So, the fun faces continue.  It's been fun to watch them play.  They feel so much more in character this way.
We spent New Year's Eve celebrating with some of my dad's sibling's and their families.  The food was yummy- sushi, mexican, italian, and everything in between...
Then we played some Sequence.  A family favorite- guys versus girls.  It was a great night!
Playing, laughing, talking, and everyone singing along as the playlist wound us through the oldies decade by decade.
This is what family is all about- shared histories, belonging, fun, and unconditional love.
The perfect way to end the old year and begin the new!
