Natl Zoo and The Building Museum

Just singin' in the rain.........just singin' in the rain!!

We're big fans of the National Building Museum and were excited to share it with Lily and Claire. The rain on Sunday gave us the perfect opportunity.
"Bob and Wendy" were ready to work:
Little architects in the making. They were such attentive students and built their very own free-standing arch...
We love the courtyard of this building. It's the size of a football field with so much room to roam! The kids can run, yell, spin, and dance- surrounded by such an inspiring backdrop.
Monday, the sun came back just in time for one of our favorites...the zoo- such an amazing place! We make sure to be there in time to watch the elephants get their baths...
The lions were frisky and playful...
and the orangutan climbed across the ropes- right over our heads!
It was a great day. We saw hippos, sea creatures, gorillas, pandas, zebras, farm animals, and so much more. And we topped it all off with slurpees from 7-11, I love that place! (If you live in the north, have one for me.)
