LiveStrong Lobby Update

Did you know that when Lance Armstrong received his cancer diagnosis 13 years ago, he didn’t have health insurance? No one should have to battle cancer while worrying about health insurance coverage.

That’s why I signed the LIVESTRONG Action petition. Will you join me in calling for life-saving healthcare reforms to protect cancer survivors?    http://www.livestrongaction.org/campaigns/healthcare

The stance of LIVESTRONG and tens of thousands of grassroots supporters is clear. Legislation for healthcare reform must adhere to the following principles:

No American should be denied health insurance coverage because of pre-existing conditions.

No American should lose their insurance due to changes in health or employment.

LIVESTRONG just delivered 65,000 signatures (our signatures!) to leaders on Capitol Hill, calling on Congress to address the needs of 12 million cancer survivors through this important legislation. Now, the bills are headed to the floors of both chambers. That's why we need more signatures—we have to keep up the fight.

Will you join me and sign the LIVESTRONG Action petition? It only takes a few moments, and it’s a critical message to send to our representatives in Washington: http://www.livestrongaction.org/campaigns/healthcare
